Ingredients
1 cup All-purpose flour
1/4 cup Unsweetened cocoa powder
2 tablespoons Granulated sugar
1/4 teaspoon Pinch of salt
2 Large eggs
1 1/2 cups Whole milk
2 tablespoons Unsalted butter, melted
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
1–2 teaspoons Vegetable oil (for greasing)
Instructions
- Gather your ingredients and set up your workspace
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, granulated sugar, and salt until well combined
- In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until fully combined
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and whisk until just combined, being careful not to overmix
- Let the batter rest for 5-10 minutes if possible
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it with vegetable oil
- Pour about 1/4 cup of batter into the skillet and swirl to spread it thinly
- Cook for 1-2 minutes until the edges are crisp and flip to cook for an additional 30-60 seconds
- Transfer the cooked crepe to a plate and repeat with the remaining batter
- Serve warm with your choice of toppings
Notes
Letting the batter rest helps create more tender crepes.
The first crepe usually won't turn out perfectly; it's a test crepe.
