A quick and easy recipe for Korean Ground Beef Bowls that can be made in just 15 minutes, perfect for weeknight dinners.

1 lb Ground Beef (80/20)
1/4 cup Soy Sauce
2 tbsp Brown Sugar (packed)
1 tbsp Toasted Sesame Oil
1 tbsp Minced Garlic
1 tsp Grated Ginger
1 tsp Gochujang (Korean Chili Paste)
1/4 cup Water
2–3 Green Onions (sliced) for garnish
1 tsp Sesame Seeds for garnish
Cooked Rice for serving
Instructions
- Prep Your Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, toasted sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, gochujang, and water until the brown sugar mostly dissolves
- Brown the Beef: Place a skillet over medium-high heat, add ground beef, and break it up as it cooks for about 5-7 minutes
- Drain the Fat: Once cooked, drain any excess fat
- Add the Sauce: Pour prepared sauce over the cooked beef, stirring to coat well
- Simmer and Thicken: Bring to a simmer and let it cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens
- Assemble Your Bowls: Divide rice among bowls, topping with the saucy beef
- Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle with green onions and sesame seeds
