Ingredients
1.5 lbs Ground Beef
2 lbs Potatoes
1 large Onio
3–4 cloves Garlic
1 cup Beef Broth
2 tbsp Tomato Paste
1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
1/2 cup Milk
2 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese
1 cup Shredded Monterey Jack Cheese
1 tbsp Olive Oil
To taste Salt
To taste Black Pepper
1 tsp Dried Thyme
2 tbsp Fresh Parsley
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare your potatoes by peeling and thinly slicing them
- In a skillet, heat olive oil and brown the ground beef, draining excess grease
- Add chopped onion and sauté until translucent, then add minced garlic and thyme
- Stir in tomato paste and Worcestershire sauce, followed by beef broth and milk. Season to taste
- In a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, layer half of the potatoes, then half the beef mixture, and half the cheeses. Repeat the layers
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes, then remove the foil and bake uncovered for an additional 20-25 minutes
- Let rest for 10-15 minutes before serving, garnished with chopped parsley if desired
