A festive Southern dish featuring crawfish and aromatic spices, perfect for gatherings and celebrations.

- 12 lbs crawfish/seafood
- 8 sticks of salted butter
- 6 tbsp cajun seasoning
- 6 tbsp paprika
- 4 tbsp oregano
- 4 tbsp cayenne pepper
- 4 tbsp lemon pepper
- 6 tbsp sugar
- 6 heads garlic (minced)
- 8 tbsp old bay seasoning
- 1 cup garlic powder
- 1/2 cup lime (juiced)
- 2 tbsp crawfish boil mix
Instructions
- In a saucepan, melt all the butter until completely dissolved over high heat.
- Add the minced garlic to the melted butter and sauté for a few minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in all the seasonings: cajun seasoning, paprika, oregano, cayenne pepper, lemon pepper, sugar, old bay seasoning, and garlic powder. Mix well.
- Pour in the lime juice and the crawfish boil mix. Stir everything together until well blended.
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add in your seasoned butter mixture and let it simmer.
- Carefully add the crawfish and other seafood into the pot.
- Boil for about 5-7 minutes, until the crawfish turns bright red and is cooked through.
- Drain the water and serve hot.
Notes
Serve on newspaper with lemon wedges, corn on the cob, potatoes, and sausage. Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to two days.
