Crockpot Honey Garlic Beef and Broccoli provides a homemade alternative to takeout with savory, sweet flavors and wholesome ingredients, making it a perfect busy weeknight meal.
Ingredients
1.5 – 2 lbs Beef (Flank or Chuck)
1/2 Cup Honey
1/2 Cup Soy Sauce
4–5 Cloves Garlic
1 Tablespoon Fresh Ginger
1 Tablespoon Sesame Oil
1/4 Cup Beef Broth
1/2 Teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes (optional)
2 Tablespoons Cornstarch
3–4 Cups Fresh Broccoli Florets
Instructions
- Slice beef thinly against the grai
- Whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and beef broth
- Layer sliced beef in a slow cooker and pour sauce over it
- Cover and cook on LOW for 4 to 6 hours or HIGH for 2 to 3 hours
- About 30 minutes before serving, whisk cornstarch with cold water and add to the slow cooker
- Add broccoli florets on top and cook for an additional 20-30 minutes
- Serve over rice or noodles
Notes
For gluten-free, swap soy sauce for tamari.
Searing the meat before slow cooking improves flavor.
