Ingredients
6–8 cups Cubed Stale Brioche or Challah Bread
3 cups Full-Fat Eggnog
4 Large Eggs
1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
4 tablespoons Unsalted Butter (Melted)
1 tablespoon Vanilla Extract
1 teaspoon Ground Nutmeg
1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamo
1/2 teaspoon Salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish
- Cube the stale bread into 1-inch pieces and place them in the baking dish
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, eggnog, sugar, melted butter, vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon, and salt until uniform
- Pour the eggnog mixture over the bread, pressing down gently to submerge the bread
- Let it sit for at least 15 minutes to soak
- Bake for 45 to 50 minutes, until the top is golden brown and the center is set but slightly jiggly
- Let cool for 10 minutes before serving
