Garlic Butter Roasted Broccoli is an incredibly simple yet flavorful dish that transforms a basic vegetable into a vibrant side. It's quick to prepare, nutritious, and satisfies even the pickiest eaters.
Ingredients
1.5–2 lbs Fresh Broccoli Florets
4 tablespoons Unsalted Butter
4–6 cloves Fresh Garlic
2 tablespoons Olive Oil
1 teaspoon Sea Salt
1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
1/4 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes (optional)
1 Fresh Lemon Wedge (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper
- Wash the broccoli heads, trim off thick stems, and cut into bite-sized pieces
- In a small bowl, melt the butter. Add minced garlic, olive oil, sea salt, black pepper, and optional red pepper flakes. Stir to combine
- Place broccoli florets in a large bowl and pour the garlic butter mixture over them. Toss to coat
- Spread the coated broccoli in a single layer on the baking sheet without overcrowding
- Roast in the oven for 15-20 minutes until tender-crisp and with charred edges, tossing halfway through
- Remove from the oven and serve immediately with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice if desired
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding Parmesan cheese during the last few minutes of roasting.
Ensure the broccoli is dry before roasting to prevent sogginess.
