Description
A comforting and decadent dish featuring tender sirloin steak bites and crisp asparagus, all infused with rich garlic butter, perfect for busy weeknights or special gatherings.
Ingredients
1.5 lbs Sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch pieces
1 bunch Asparagus spears, woody ends trimmed
4 tablespoons Unsalted butter
4–6 cloves Garlic, minced
2 tablespoons Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
1 tablespoon Olive oil
Salt, to taste
Black pepper, freshly ground, to taste
1 Lemon wedge, optional (for serving)
Instructions
- Pat the steak pieces very dry with paper towels and season generously with salt and black pepper
- Trim the woody ends off the asparagus, mince the garlic, and chop the parsley
- Heat a large, heavy-bottomed skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil until hot
- Sear half of the steak bites for 2-3 minutes per side until browned. Remove to a plate and repeat with the remaining steak
- Add 2 tablespoons of butter to the same skillet and sauté the asparagus for 3-5 minutes until tender-crisp
- Return the skillet to medium-low heat, add 2 more tablespoons of butter and minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant
- Combine the steak and asparagus in the skillet and toss to coat in the garlic butter
- Serve immediately, garnished with parsley and a lemon wedge if desired
Notes
Don't overcrowd the pan while searing the steak for the best crust.
Rest the steak briefly before serving to retain juices.
