Ingredients

tablespoons unsalted butter
cloves garlic, minced
cups chicken or vegetable broth
cups milk (whole or 2%)
ounces dried pasta (linguine, fettuccine, spaghetti, or penne)
/2 cup heavy cream
/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
teaspoon salt (or to taste)
/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat and sauté minced garlic until fragrant
  2. Add broth and milk, season with salt and pepper, bring to a gentle simmer
  3. Stir in the dried pasta, making sure it's submerged in the liquid
  4. Cover and simmer for about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is al dente
