Description
Square pretzels with briefly softened chocolate-caramel Rolo candies, each pressed with a pecan half and cooled until set.
Ingredients
Scale
- 48 pieces Square snap pretzels
- 48 pieces Rolo chocolate-caramel candies, unwrapped
- 48 halves Pecan halves
Instructions
- Heat oven to 250 F (about 120 C). Line two rimmed trays with oven-safe parchment and place 24 intact square pretzels in a single layer on each. Set one unwrapped Rolo candy upright on each pretzel.
- Warm one tray at a time for approximately 3–4 minutes until the chocolate just softens but holds its general shape; do not wait for caramel to spill or chocolate to puddle. Carefully remove the hot tray.
- Immediately and gently press one pecan half into each softened candy. Repeat with second tray, recording actual oven time and count.
- Leave bites undisturbed until chocolate and caramel are fully firm, around 45 minutes as a working estimate in a cool room; check by touch with clean hands. Transfer to a box with parchment between layers only after set.
