Description

The Teriyaki Beef Burger with Grilled Pineapple brings an island vacation vibe to your kitchen table in less than thirty minutes. It combines juicy beef patties with a punchy teriyaki glaze and sweet, charred pineapple for a satisfying and quick weeknight meal.

Ingredients

Scale

1.5 lbs Ground Beef (80/20)
4–6 slices Pineapple Rings
1/2 cup Teriyaki Sauce/Glaze
4 large Brioche Buns
1 small Red Onio
4–6 leaves Butter Lettuce
1 tsp Garlic Powder
1/2 tsp Ginger Powder
1/4 cup Mayonnaise

Instructions

  1. Prep the Beef: Place your ground beef in a large bowl. Add the garlic powder and ginger powder. Mix gently with your hands. Do not overwork the meat, or your Teriyaki Beef Burger will become tough. Form into four thick patties
  2. Create an Indentation: Use your thumb to make a small well in the center of each patty to prevent them from puffing up on the grill
  3. Heat the Grill: Preheat your grill or cast-iron skillet to medium-high heat
  4. Grill the Pineapple: Place the pineapple rings on the grill for 2-3 minutes per side until charred. Set aside
  5. Sear the Patties: Grill the beef patties for about 4-5 minutes on the first side. Flip them carefully
  6. The Glaze Phase: Brush teriyaki sauce over the cooked side of patties and cook for another 3-4 minutes
  7. Toast the Buns: In the final minute, place the split brioche buns face-down on the grill until toasted
  8. Assembly: Spread mayo on the bottom bun, layer with lettuce, glazed beef patty, grilled pineapple ring, and sliced red onions, and top with the other half of the bu

Notes

Pat pineapple slices dry before grilling for better caramelization.

Aim for an internal temperature of 160°F for the beef.

To reheat leftovers, use a skillet instead of a microwave.
