Delicious Teriyaki Ground Beef and Pineapple Bowls are easy to make and packed with flavor, combining savory ground beef, sweet pineapple, and a tangy teriyaki sauce.
Ingredients
1 pound Lean Ground Beef (85/15 or 90/10)
1 tablespoon Olive Oil
1 medium Onion, chopped
2 cloves Garlic, minced
1 (20-ounce) can Pineapple Chunks, drained (reserve 2 tablespoons juice)
1/2 cup Low-Sodium Soy Sauce
1/4 cup Brown Sugar, packed
2 tablespoons Rice Vinegar
1 tablespoon Fresh Ginger, grated
1 tablespoon Cornstarch
2 tablespoons Water
Cooked Rice, for serving
Green Onions, sliced (for garnish, optional)
Sesame Seeds (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Prep your ingredients: chop, mince, and whisk sauce components
- Brown the beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat
- Sauté the chopped onion with the beef until softened
- Add the pineapple chunks and warm through
- Pour in the sauce mixture and bring to a simmer
- Add the cornstarch slurry to thicken the sauce
- Serve over cooked rice and garnish as desired
Notes
For substitutions, ground turkey or chicken can replace beef.
You can add extra vegetables like bell peppers or carrots.
