The 15-Minute “Dumpling Bake” Casserole is a quick and satisfying dish featuring tender chicken, a creamy sauce, and fluffy dumplings that come together in just 30 minutes, perfect for beginner cooks and busy schedules.
Ingredients
½ lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into 1-inch cubes
(10.5 ounce) can cream of chicken soup (undiluted)
(10.5 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup (undiluted)
½ cups whole milk
tsp dried thyme
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp black pepper
cup frozen peas and carrots blend (optional, but highly recommended!)
(7.5 ounce) package refrigerated biscuit dough (small biscuits, like Pillsbury Grands Jr. Flaky Layers)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C)
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream of chicken and cream of mushroom soups with milk, thyme, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix until smooth
- Add the cubed chicken and optional frozen peas and carrots to the sauce, stirring to coat
- Pour the mixture into a 9×13 inch baking dish
- Open the biscuit dough, cut each biscuit into quarters, and arrange them over the chicken mixture
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the biscuits are golden brow

Let the casserole rest for 5-10 minutes before serving to allow the sauce to thicken.
