Ingredients
500g Good Quality Milk Chocolate (or Dark Chocolate, 60-70%)
1 cup Pistachios (shelled, unsalted)
150g Kunafeh Dough (Kataifi Pastry)
50g Unsalted Butter
100g White Chocolate (good quality)
50ml Heavy Cream
1/2 cup Pistachio Butter (or smooth pistachio paste)
1–2 tbsp Powdered Sugar (optional, for filling sweetness)
Pinch of Salt
Instructions
- Prepare the Kunafeh Crunch: Preheat oven to 350°F. Melt butter and mix with torn Kunafeh dough. Bake on a sheet for 10-15 minutes, stirring until golden brow
- Make the Pistachio Cream Filling: Heat heavy cream, add white chocolate until melted. Mix in pistachio butter and optional powdered sugar
- Assemble the Filling: Combine cooled Kunafeh, chopped pistachios, and pistachio cream filling in a bowl
- Temper the Chocolate: Chop milk (or dark) chocolate, melt 3/4, then seed with reserved chocolate. Cool to 88-91°F
- Build the Chocolate Bar: Coat chocolate molds, fill with kunafeh-pistachio mix, top with remaining tempered chocolate, and refrigerate until set
- Unmold and Enjoy: Carefully remove bars from molds and serve
