Description
Eight small skillet-browned ground-turkey breakfast sausage patties.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound Ground turkey
- 1 tablespoon Pure maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon Dried rubbed sage
- 1/2 teaspoon Garlic powder
- 3/4 teaspoon Fine salt
- 1/4 teaspoon Ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon Neutral cooking oil
Instructions
- In a bowl combine 1 lb ground turkey with 1 tbsp maple syrup, 1 tsp rubbed sage, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 3/4 tsp fine salt and 1/4 tsp black pepper. Mix only until seasonings are distributed; divide into eight equal patties about 1/2 inch thick.
- Heat half of 1 tbsp neutral oil in a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add four patties with space between, and cook approximately 4–5 minutes per side, lowering heat if the maple browns before centers cook.
- Check the center of each representative ground-turkey patty with a food thermometer for 165°F. Transfer cooked patties to a clean plate. Repeat with the remaining oil and four patties, checking their centers too.
- Serve eight patties warm. Record actual diameter, thickness, browning and cooking time after a kitchen trial; avoid transferring raw-meat utensils to the cooked plate.
